Step 1 - Sectionalize off your yard into Squares or rectangles.
Step 2 -
Measure Length by Width of each Square or rectangle,
this will give you the square footage of that area.
- Easy
measuring - walk the Length by Width using
full strides, each stride should equal approximately.
3 feet.
- Multiple
3 times each stride and that will
give you the linear measurement.
Step
3 -
Subtract any Islands, beds or non lawn areas
out of your measurement.
Step 4 -
Add up your measurements and that will be your total
square footage.
